If anything removing the egr coolers free up a ton of room as stated by longview1, I bought mine off Ebay for like $120.00.
Downpipe should be next weekend for me.

I assume you did just the block off plates, correct? I was thinking the full egr delete, but then got me thinking about how much boost I build pulling trailer and have heard that it would be best to have a wastegate then. The egr kit with wastegate is much more expensive. If you don't do a wastegate, then is there no place for the extra boost to go when it gets too high?

No i did full delete. Youll be fine without a wastegate, unless you plan to race or add more power makers? JUst dont stomp it and let off right away 1000x a day and youll be good!

Best to use Ford thermostats or aftermarket? Not going to do EGR delete yet as mechanic doesn't have time to slip it in between other jobs. I can do that later myself.

I'd stick with the Motorcraft, they aren't that expensive anyways
