Lookin at a 2007 6.0

Hey everybody. Very new to sight and lookin at my first diesel. I have a line on a 07 f150 sittin on about 185000 miles for $17,000. It's a cc lariet 4x4. A little nervous. I ran a oasis with only an egr and a couple wire issues. Leaving it stock can I be comfortable with that kind mileage? I'm lookin into a camper at about 8500 lbs. any input would be appreciated.

Sorry guys I meant a F250 with a 6.0. Was a Texas truck and is spotless. Appears to be stock.

can the seller give you any history on the truck or is it at a dealer?

It's a small dealer here in Illinois. He seems to move quite a few fords and seems to bring them from the south. Never seen one with rust and most are advertised as having a Texas safety inspection sticker. I don't think I have ever seen any tuners. The clean oasis report peaked my interest.

Oasis report really is just for work done under warranty. Get the torque app on your smart phone and the obd2 bluetooth plug for it and check the vitals while you drive it if your really interested in it.

Good idea bobcat. Thanks. Ill see if I can find that. I'm not afraid to drop a little coin to see how she ticks before I buy. Any suggestions on visual things I can look for on it when I inspect it to get a feel for her.

Make sure it is either gold or red coolant not green. See if it pukes out of the degas bottle after you do a wot run. See if it has an oem oil filter cap. Little things like that will tell how good it was taking care of. The torque app and the obd2 adapter will only run you about 25 or 30 bucks. Well worth it.

check amazon for the adaptor..

take your time and look the truck over.. if it has head studs you should be able to see the studs on the outside of the valve cover.. if he tells you it does look to make sure..

when you first start it up look at the ect that will tell you if it was just started.. most of the time low ficm voltage only happens when the truck is cold hasn't run in several hrs..

Great advise guys. Keep it coming. I love the fords. Heck I got a 99 f150 now with a 5.4 and 140000 on it. But I don't believe it's up for the task of towing the trailer. She's gettin a little tired. I'm thinkin it's a good excuse. I mean reason to get a new one. And the best part is my wife is on board. Woo hoo
