Bad Brakes. Don't trust mine!
97 F150/auto/4x4
In the 5 years I've had this truck, this has happened 3 times.
I had the Brakes Bled and checked by a reputable shop since the 1st time.
In a Panic stop, I jamb down the pedal and the truck slows rapidly, almost to a stop, but the wheels don't skid and I don't feel that Computer 'surging' unless I'm on Gravel. The Pedal feels good and hard.
It acts like there is Air in the system!
I was lucky to have a place to go, to avoid an accident.
Is there a Bleed port up on the Power brake cylinder? There is one on a Chrysler van. Can't find one on my pickup.
