Pressure cycling switch bad?

I have an 04' F350 CrewCab V10. Air conditioning compressor keeps cycling off an on...literally every 4-5 seconds. The system is charged with Freon, yet the air blowing out is not nearly as cold as it should be (and has been in the past). Is this is sympton of a bad pressure cycling switch?

No. It usually means the refrigerant charge is incorrect.

Yep, low on refrigerant will cause it to come on then a few seconds later as the compressor pulls pressure to the high side the low side goes down and the switch shuts it off. There should also be a high pressure switch but they are usually set so high that they will blow a hose before the switch shuts it off.
