Air Filter - 1991 E-250 5.0 L...
All,
Looking for something that I can bolt on for a air filter that will not take the complete front end of my engine compartment like my stock one does currently.
Do they make a small clamp on filters for each of the throttle intake openings? (Had a old 1968 Ford that had a small air filter and it was nice as it did not cover things up. Looking for something similar.)
Does not have to be performance just something to replace stock but if it helps performance I will not be upset.
Thanks,
Chris

Filters...
All,
Was at Autozone yesterday and I noticed a 2 5/16 air filter. It was just a single filter ...so I am not certain two on top of each other would work but if it did it would be much smaller than stock.
Honestly the stock air filter in a van pretty much covers a large amount under the hood and any work pretty much requires its complete removal prior to starting any work..
I could see how they could develop a dual bolt on air filter unit.
I would also think the stock filter would trap hot air from the engine to stay in the engine compartment....probably not good either.
Anyways if anyone has seen anything for a 5.0L that's smaller please let me know.
