ROMPS please help

About a year ago, I had the romps extremely bad and it turned out to be the CPS sensor. I replaced it with a really good one from international and it worked great for the year. Just recently, it started to romp again, not nearly as bad but it really worries me because i don't wanna drive it on the highway... It does it very sporadically and at all speeds. Previously, before I it it fixed it made the CEL come on, but now it doesn't. The problem isn't nearly as bad but it is still a problem that needs to be fixed, especially before I need to start hauling hay... The only tore thing, could it be a loose connector on the valve cover harnesses? I replaced the glow plugs recently and I broke one of the plastic connector clips. Please help!!

If the cps fixed it the first time I'd try another one. Just because its only a year old and an international part doesn't mean it didn't go bad. If it isn't the problem they go bad enough and are pretty inexpensive you really should have a spare anyway.

It romps down the road to answer your question oldbird. I describe the romp as a lag in the throttle and an immediate repower of the throttle. So it's a big jolt when it happens. Here's something else, when I was driving it today, it would never happen when I was runnin on my stock setting on the tuner I have but it would romp when I was running every other tune...? Some worse than others..

I'd take your tuner completely out of the equation for a few days driving then and see what happens.

Could the tuner I have from DP tuner really be causing this to happen though?

From what you just said, it could be the hpop isn't supplying enough oil. Are you pulling when this happens?

I'm driving unloaded. Idk if it matters but the oil pressure gauge is acting really funky. It twitches a lot whereas before it would not do anything

I'd check your oil level.

Oil level is fine. I'm just worried that it might be the HPOP, which I don't necessarily want to send the money on one if I don't have to

Any check engine light? Have you checked for a code?

No check engine light and I'm gonna try to pull any codes off it next week but I doubt I'll get any. I drove it around all day today on the stock setting and it gave me no trouble so I'm just really confused

Did the oil pressure gauge act up today or was it behaving normally?

It was not nearly as bad but it was still twitching a little bit. It's just the oil gauge that's in the dash, at least I believe it's oil pressure, I may be wrong

Its oil pressure. The gauge is for the low pressure system (lubrication and feed the high pressure system). Its more of an 'idiot light' than a gauge.
