Just a quick question here, what was the Watson 3 speed aux box you described in the OP? Like what's it used for?

An aux box works like a splitter, it essentially gives you a close ratio transmission with more gears. You also get the advantage of a lower first, and a higher final. A 3 speed would be under, direct, and over. So shifting through all gears would be: 1st-under, 1st-direct, 1st-over, 2nd-under, 2nd-direct, 2nd-over, 3rd-under, 3rd-direct, 3rd-over, 4th-under, 4th-direct, 4th-over, 5th-under, 5th-direct, and finally 5th-over. This of course assumes that none of the ratios over-lap (i.e. where 1st-over might be the same ratio as 2nd-under).
Hope this helps!

I didn't hurt nothing, just wasted 50 bucks in coolant. I'm half temped just to put a soft plug in. I'm going to run 5-40 oil in so I bet it will still start in the cold.
As for performance I can't say I need to tune it and I might have a boost leak. The turbo sound like a jet it's going to annoy the f*** out of me.
I know it would be annoying to do but what about a threaded plug?

I'll look to see what happen first maybe I got a mis-packaged block heater, it didn't pop out the O-ring slipped around it on one side.

As for the aux box, I manly use it for a range box, I leave it in over drive when the truck is empty the I have close to 3.55 gears. then in direct I have 4.10.
I have to loaded very heavy before I have to split gears, or it's also nice on hills.
The under drive doesn't fit in the sequence, it's just to help you get rolling if needed.

Timing is the key to these things 6-8, Mine seem to like 7, most diesel guys will tell you that more timing is better, but the idi is a different breed.
running right N/A will out pull a 460 and idit will run with stock 7.3 psd. If you don't know the age of your ip and injectors change them out with fresh ones, the increase in mpg will pay for it.

In my spare time I've been working on my wheat truck,

it's a 1923 ford model TT it's finely ready to take a load to town which is 15 miles one way

Back to topic I pulled the heater out and am going to take it to the store tomorrow to see if I got a miss packaged one.

well the guy at the parts store warranted my block heater, and gave me some antifreeze.
I might get it put in today.

well had a little time It holds water now and timing is set a 6, so I just need to get antifreeze in it and add the rest of the exhaust, then I can start breaking it in.

Yes our experiment is on this truck, I got to the point I need my 88 so I threw the banks kit on it. so the upgraded 093 and the 110cc ip and your injectors are on this truck.
I 've only gotten about 4 miles on it, but today I'll try to get some more

well, my luck continues on this thing, It made the 30 mile round trip to town today, but about 10 miles in the down pipe wiggled out of the turbo, so I had to take it easy so not to cook my firewall. It's also idling rough and blowing blue smoke, I'm hopping it will quit that after it gets broke in.

we both are I just need some time to work the bugs out. I need a girlfriend that knows how to use a wrench. Then I would have more time for my projects instead of working on every bodies else stuff.
