1991 E4OD to C6

Currently swapping in a C6 in place of the POS blown up E4OD, its a 78 C6 so im wondering about kick down linkage the actual shifting linkage looks like it will swap with little modification, but the kick down is the old lever action style and I know on my 89 it was a actual cable. Ideas???

No idea on the linkage, but your EEC-IV isn't going to know what is going on with the tranny. I think it will still work, but it will take quite a bit of tinkering on things like your linkage.

The computers on these trucks don't talk to the C6 so you don't have to worry about that.

I guess I only mentioned it because it will throw a CEL and a few codes. He'd also have to deal with the harnesses safely.

I am taking a ECU out of my parts truck which is a 91 that had a 4 speed so that should work. linkage actual fit like a glove! so its just the kick down now... a lot of guys say screw it if you really need to down shift a C6 do it manually which I guess I can say with my old truck It never really down shifted. But since im not a half asser any ideas?

Glad you have a 4-speed manual PCM ready to go in, otherwise you would have gotten a constant CEL.
