Tranny or PCM problem?

I have an 06 F250 5.4L gas V8 with auto trans. Last summer it started lurching and stalling out. I even had the brakes lock up in traffic while I was doing 30 mph, the engine stalled that time too. I took it to the dealer and there were tons of tranny codes. They cleared fixed them, supposedly. The dealer swapped 4 of 7 solenoids in the tranny, the tranny screen and throttle position sensor. Said tranny itself was good. Worked well for a week and then back to the same. I'm $1800 into this repair. What I've noticed is the hotter the weather the more it acts up. In the fall and winter when it's cold out it runs like a champ with no problems. The gas mileage is horrible, my last full tank took me only 158 miles! Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
