To each their own, but I wouldn't trade my 5.4 for a 7.3 for anything. Spark plugs are a minor thing compared to what I didn't like about my 7.3. Stupid glow plugs, glow plug relay, ficm and cps leaving me stranded(and towed home by my 5.4), o ring leaks leaving oil stains all over my driveway, not being able to talk to my wife with the window rolled down, no heat on my way to work on cold mornings, having to carry around a jug of fuel additive everywhere I went, having to wait in line at the one diesel pump, and so on.

 

Not to start a diesel VS gas thread but I don't like diesels either with their clackety clack noise, lack of high RPM punch, and the smoke. (funny how my 2-stroke snowmobile is music to my ears).

 

Nothing like a 2 smoker.

In a bike or quad id rather have the 4 stroke though.
