Blue smoke coming from exhaust

This is for the 97 in my sig.

Last weekend I was using my truck to pull some trees out of the woods and pulling the log splitter around, nothing heavy, I think 30ft was the longest tree and it was no more then 10" around. The truck just idled pulling most of it. So as I was leaving to head back to the house I noticed that there was some bluish looking smoke coming from the drivers side exhaust(It has a true-dual exhaust setup). But by the time I got back to the house, which is only about a mile down the road, it seemed like it was gone.

So I'm pulling some more trees this weekend and it did the same thing.
Someone told me it's probably just loading up since it's idling almost the entire time except for when I shut it off between trees.

Is that all it is? Or could be a bigger problem forming?

Just sounds like valve guide seals are leaking a bit. Not uncommon with age, not necessarily with use.

Just keep the idling to minium to prevent and/or take it on the highway and blow the cobwebs out. That 460 is a locomotive and they smoke too!

Blue smoke = oil
Black smoke =fuel
White smoke = coolant/water
Are you on flat ground leaning more to the driver side.

I forgot to mention that I put it to the floor for a few hundred yards after the last time it smoked and it cleared right up.

It was on a little bit of a slope but not steep at all, and I first noticed it when I was pulling the log splitter up the hill.
And yes, most of the time the truck was leaning slightly on the drivers side

Probably worn valve guides/seals, or oil sealing rings that are starting to get a little tired and pro-longed idling (high vacuum) starts to pull some oil into the cylinders.
