Hi All,
I got a leaking rear diff gasket
What is the recommend diff oil after I replace the gasket
Might be a dumb question, I have never replaced the diff oil in my F250
Done it plenty of times on my old F100's
Also double check the breather tube isn't blocked while you are at it. Its often the cause of leaky diffs, and if not fixed, even with new goo, it will begin leaking again very soon.
Well that answers my question,
There are two different diff covers listed on the Riffraff site and i was not sure what to order. They look like they will make servicing a lot easier.
Thanks Brian
quick one I need to do the same but bought the additive as well from ford must I add it to the oil I bought Castrol Syntrax 75w-140 limited slip. and any views on transmission oil too might as well do that while I`m busy

I assume your truck has the ZF5 trans, right?
If so, any synthetic auto transmission fluid that is rated for Mercon V (it should say on the side of the container)
