03 Ford Sport Trac 4.0 No injector pulse
I got a 03 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
It was driving normal until the other day I got into the car and it will crank but not start.
Heres what I've got so far.
P0068 MAP/MAF Throttle position correlation
P0708 Transmission Range Sensor A circuit high
I don't believe that this would cause a No start situation. The MAF would cause it to run like crap but I would still start.
Also the spark from the coil and to the plugs are good.
Compression is good.
NO injector pulse. Im thinking about condemning the PCM but wanted a second opinion before I throw that money towards it.
Anything helps. K shoots Thank you.

Since you have spark that indicates the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor is working properly. Have you checked the Security/Theft light in the instrument cluster when trying to start the engine? Is if on solid or flashing? If so, do you have another key that is programmed to the truck? The anti-theft system may be disabling spark thinking that the key being used is not a programmed key.
Most sensors that would effect injector pulse would also effect spark. The PCM has separate transistors for the injectors so it is unlikely that all would fail in the PCM at the same time. I would not jump to an issue with the PCM. Next step would be to check fuse F1.7 (30A) in the battery junction box. If the fuse is good, then check the function of the PCM power relay. Alternatively you could just check for power to red wire of the fuel injectors when the key is in the Run position. If you have power to the injectors, check for continuity between the injector ground lines (the not red wire) to the PCM.
