Front spindles-Bird vs Ranchero

[B]Have a 1977 T-Bird and a 1977 Ranchero. Same front bumpers, frames, etc. My issue it that the Bird's front end, when parked nose to nose, the Bird is aprox 2 inches higher.
So my question is this, does the Ranchero use different spindles which could create the difference heighght?
I wish to get the nose down on the Bird without resorting to cutting the coils, and easy fix, but affects ride quality.
It may be that the springs are different length's as well, but haven't got the truck here to measure at this time, the Bird's are aprox 12 and 1/2 inches when no load on them.
Any help is appreciated.
