I completely understand the cost off manufacturing and per piece cost to return your money. Rough costs in conversation without pencil in everything out my guy is looking at 25k for the mold material and labor. That's either 1000 pieces @ $25.00 500 pieces @ $50.00 or 250 pieces @$ 100.00 I think anything higher would price everybody out of the market to want to buy them. I have another idea I'm gonna explore this coming week.

It's blow moulding. The mold material. Two molds. The labor to cut make the mold. It would be a lot different if it were a flat piece with no contour and nothing on the back side to hold the switches. The material is the cheap part. Then labor to run the pieces. Blow molding is used mainly for mass production with thousands and thousands of pieces. Usually then pieces he produces currently are down to 5 cents to 8 cents a piece.

For those without power mirrors, maybe the spot could be used for a chip selector?

Leo. Could you pull your bezel and get a pic of the back side, especially where the mirror switch is?

Thanks for the pics. I am wondering if the switch needs those recessed spots in order to snap in correctly, of if a hole would be enough

Im sure a dremel type tool with a cutting bit and a steady hand could make easy work for those recessed spots.

I'm interested and would pay $100. Only the back half of mine was cracked, and I did pretty good with some JB weld which has held for about a year so far.

Are you talking about the Grey piece on the back or the recessed holes on the top for the mounting screws for the door panel?

Just got back from the Guy who I talked to about the bezel. He says he can do it but I need to figure out what plastic to make it from. And he said 150-200 for each one.

He also pointed me in another direction of forming one

I'm willing to bet your guy said the same thing my guy said about the other option which makes sense but that still can't be cheap either

That was for about 20 pieces or less. I don't have the $$ to make more than that. Hell, I don't have the money to make 20
