Bed side spare tire bracket

I have recently purchased a 54 F100 with the cutout in rear fender for a spare to mount, there is no bracket! I have a friend who works with metal who wants to build me one. Does anybody have pics of one they have built or photos of factory brackets to give my buddy an idea of what to do?

Thanks!

Not a close up but it's factory.

I'll take some more if you need them next time I get out to my trucks.

Midfifty catalog pg 165 has one listed if you might want to go that way (just a drawing, but gives an idea and prices if might wish to order instead of making it). I have an under bed carrier so my pics will not help).

D6TZ-1433-A (replaced BAAA-1433-A & B7C-1433-A) .. Flareside Spare Tire Bracket-Mounts on bedside / Use 6 1/2' Flareside Bed / Obsolete

Applications: 1953/79 F100 / 1975/79 F150.

Since there's no pic in 1948/56 catalog, this pic is from the 1957/63 catalog.

Here's a pic of one I have. I'm sure if you posted your location there would be someone close that would give you one as most don't use them unless you are going for the stock look.

It's probably different, if for no other reason the lug spacing would be larger on the 3/4 ton 8 lug. My old catalog shows BAAA 1433-B for the F-100, BBAA 1433-A for the F-250, and BCAA 1433-A for the 53-54 F-350 side mount brackets, and B4Y 1433-A for the 55 F-350. That's as far as my catalog goes.

I think it would be the same, as the poster said he has a 56 F100 Long bed which I thinknis just an F100 with an 8ft bed. I think it has the same size wheels unlike an F250.

Abe, that is correct. With the wider box/narrower fenders I am not sure if the bracket is the same. Just curious.

Ooops. My mistake. I misread the F-100 part and only keyed on the 8' express bed and had F-250 in my head. Sorry for any confusion.
