I gotta sell my 5.4 X...

After seeing this diesel 4X4 I'm sold! Now just to win the lottery... I honestly didn't know if the F250 would be able to do it but it did with NO issues!

Its mostly about gearing and weight of the vehicle. 4x4 low helps a lot too

Sent from my Sprint PC36100 using IB AutoGroup

I actually pulled out the same size motor home last night with my 5.4, he was backing into a driveway to turn around and went off the edge and sunk it. The 5.4 yanked him right out, I know, I am working on pics..

Did not seem to be stuck all that bad. Any decent 4x4 probably would have pulled that out.

Cool!! I need to get a Diesel as well but the fuel prices stop me every time. Now with gas at $3.99 in KY might as well get a Diesel......

The price difference between 'reg' gas and diesel also varies. Diesel occasionally is a 20% premium over gas - but lately it's been only 10% more - and actually cheaper than 93 octane.

It of course will also vary by region.

Most have said a 5.4 and tune is not worth it. If you have the y pipe replaced and gears that's pretty much all you can do.

Motorhome Mud Bogging - YouTube
I pulled a semi out of the mud once with my old GMC. It wasn't hard, just traction and some torque with 4lo.

I have the SCT tuner on my 5.4 actually all joking aside (not to make it a 4X4 sadly) and I actually think it was a very good investment! I have only used the one eco-tune so far and noticed a difference. I also did the Y-pipe and that was by far the best mod! As far as gears go it's all just $$$ and that's something I don't have a lot of I've been trying to find someone parting out an f-350 locally so I could find one with stock 4.10 gears (That is what I'm wanting right?) but so far no luck

4.10 or 4.30 would be best. Some will be in excursion axles or in the F250's as well.
