I definitely don't have the mechanical aptitude to do a swap like this, but I thought it was very cool and worth sharing if any of you haven't seen it yet.

Saw another that swapped a 5 speed as well. Has anyone contemplated doing this on a Navi/ Expy?

 

I have to admit I'm at a loss as to why someone would want to swap to a stick in an expedition.

Even if first is still a granny gear, I would think the extra overdrive gear would help slightly with fuel economy, but that's a heck of a payback for maybe 1-2 mpg.
