Be very careful when deciding on this house, Micah. Water damage can hide and come back to bite you in the a$$. I'd be interested in knowing how long the water was there, and what was done once it was found. Depending on how far the water reached, you may have damage that can't be fixed properly. This one might be something to walk away from. What are the legal ramifications if, in the future, you decide you want to sell? What will the documented water damage do to the home's value? Are you trained and licensed/certified to do this type of repair work? A friend of ours is battling over water damage due to faulty workmanship. It is not a quick process and they are not considering selling their home. They found mold, wanted it removed, and the water-damaged areas repaired. It has been an uphill battle from the start.

Good luck with whatever you decided to do. Personally, whatever the appraisal is, I'd offer them half of that amount stating the reasons I mentioned above.

Doing better, Shaun. I met with my VA Voc Rehab adviser today. We updated the paperwork to show my new major. Since I was near Boise State University anyway, I hand-delivered the paperwork to the necessary locations. I'm not taking any summer classes, so now it's time to fix the truck, the Mustang, clean the garage, reorganize the storage shed, fix the broken pipe in the front sprinkler system, and GO FISHING! I haven't decided in which order I'll start working on that list.

Sounds good Craig. I have been busy myself. Between work and stuff at home doesnt seem like there is alot of time to relax. I am taking at least a week off next month for a vacation this summer. Put in to add another week to that.

Craig. I wouldn't do the mold remediation myself. I would hire that out. I was meaning the drywall repairs flooring, cabinets, and so on. I have done a bit of water damage repairs in the past and am friends with several people who own mold remediation businesses so I will have it inspected prior to purchasing. Trust me I am not going to jump into this

My youngest daughter is coming home for a visit tomorrow. She finished her last final of the semester today. My wife is driving to Oregon tomorrow morning. They should be back before dinner time.

Speaking of dinner, I'm gonna logoff and eat some goulash. Yum, yum! Later dude.

Good morning, everyone. Susi just left the house. She's on her way to Oregon. Susi and Jennifer should be back in Idaho sometime around 3:00 or 4:00 PM today.
