I've got a 2006 Ford F150 XLT 5.4L with 94000 miles on it. I've had the truck for just over 2 years. The day after I bought it I was driving down the highway & lost power to my gauges, radio, p/w & p/l. I contacted the seller who swears he's never had this issue, bs. Anyways, I hit the trip button & everything came back on. This happened a couple more times that day, then not again for a couple months. It happens in all driving & weather conditions & has become VERY frequent lately. When it does happen the airbag light blinks 5-3 times then stays on. I've checked the codes with a scanner & it gives me the body code of B1892 which is "airbag tone indicator circuit short to ground/open." I've done a lot of reading & have found other ppl having a similar problem but nobody ever posts how they fixed it. Is this an airbag sensor issue & if so can anyone shed any light in which one it is & how hard it is to replace? Thx in advance for any info.
