Front end is loose as a goose. Which has nothing to do with the pump. When I park the truck there is a puddle under the pump. Haven't really explore the issue yet. Pump or hose will soon find out. When I get some free time

When you check your pump and lines, make sure you check the steering box also. Mine leaks from the top where the adjustment nut is. The 4 bolts up there like to work themselves loose. The rebuild kits for the boxes are cheap and there's an awesome write up on fullsizebronco.com

Was talking to a guy today while I was at the tire shop getting my work van tire fixed. He had a 02 7.3 he mention that there is a sleeve that can fall down the engine when changing out injectors. If that happens got to pull top of engine apart to get it out. Hopefully that's just a PSD issue. Or he's talking crap!

Our injectors are simple. Just make sure the washer comes out with the injector. If it doesn't, a small pick will work to get it out.
The powerstrokes are different animals all together.

You can pick up a book on this engine at the local autoparts store -- the book covers our IDIs, the Chevy 6.5, and the 7.3 powerstroke.
IIRC, it's a Chilton book.
I found a Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual: General Motors & Ford Light Trucks, Vans, Passenger CarsItem #HY10330 - Is this the same thing?

Well today I went ahead and tested my glow plugs on the truck. Only 3 were good. So I'm going to order new ones ASAP! I was testing the supply voltage Not sure what went wrong but only getting .438 reading on the multimeter. (auto meter) according to my book it should be the yellow wires in the picture.

I also have no idea where the ground wire is suppose to be screwed into.

What is this screen called so I can get a new one?

Thanks
Michael

I had the same problem with mine but it was concentrated at the passenger front side. Turned out it was my fuel filter. Both the bowl and the heater plug was leaking. Replaced the o rings on the fuel heater and replaced the fuel filter with a one piece and odor went away.

When I changed glow plugs on my 97 7.3, I used a wet/dry shopvac to suck the oil out from around the glowplug before I removed it to prevent the oil from entering the cylinder and possibly hydrolocking it.... just a thought.

There shouldn't be enough there to cause issues, but I usually just use paper towels to soak up the mess.
However, the fact that you have oil(it's usually diesel, actually) there indicates a problem(usually the damned o-rings).

Would this be a powerstroke?

HELP!

Sorry guys I need help again . I was driving the truck this even when I turned it felt like the front end jerk and shifted making a pop noise. I know it's not tie rods just did those. I believe it's ball joints. As I was researching I can't find a lower ball joint for my truck. (91 F350 4x4 CC N/T) Is that due to it being a 4x4?

Is this something I can handle or should I take it to a shop?

Just let you know what I managed so far..
( I did my own tie rods, injectors, glow pugs, and return lines)

Would you mind making a parts list and name of a good brand. I have Moog tie rods if that helps any

Thank you
Michael

Are you sure you have ball joints and not king pins? I'm not sure when they changed, but I know it was around 90-91.
