Our insurance already reflects this issue as this isn't a new news. It takes two seconds to break into these trucks with a screw driver. Jimmie Jammers fixes that issue though; causes some damage to the door but they can't get in as easily.

Two weeks after I bought my '11 some punk broke into my truck. Peeved me off to no end. And nope, nothing of nothing was visible; he just figured he would try.

Pickups are always high on the stolen list. Our new and shiny 6.7s it's what's in or hooked up to the truck the thieves want. After a few years of use and abuse and expired warranties used parts become in demand, so it's a double edged sword.

I wonder if Ford adding transponders to the keys for 2008 has anything to do with nothing newer than an '07 on the list........

September 2007 was when ignition immobilizers were mandatory on all vehicles intended to be sold in the Canadian market. So your $2.99 spare key cut turned into a $39.99 key cut.

I've heard that these statistics include all theft claims, including things stolen from the bed of the truck. Considering how many Superduties are used in the trades, the situation might not be as bleak as it appears.
