Truck totally dead

2013, 6000 miles, parked in garage Fri night and Sat morning would not start, no lights no electrical at all. Charged all day Sat and today still would not start or any signs of starting. Any ideas. Battery clean and tight. Looks like full tow to dealer on Mon, sucks.

Did you check the battery with a volt meter? It should be around 12.6 volts.

Possibly a failed battery, or maybe something more expensive. Electrical problems can be tough to track down, it's a good thing you're under warranty!

You didn't leave the keys in the ignition by chance?

It's in page 214 of your owners guide:

Did your battery charger show the battery was fully charged?

Chuckitall ... Charged all day Sat and today still would not start or any signs of starting.
Don't make no never mind unless the charging was performed properly.

+(positive) charger lead > +(positive) battery post.
-(negative) charger lead > engine|frame gound.

Unless the BMS (Battery Management System) monitors the charging, it didn't happen.

Have you heard any news from the dealership yet, Chuckitall? I'll keep checking in to see when you have an update.

I take blame for this

I won't mention who she is that left the parking lights on Fri night after driving in rain, but the real problem was I had an old defective charger that didn't have any juice left in it. No trip to dealer, but great help with Ford assistance service, responded in minutes and started it in seconds. Thanks, I supplied him with four lobster tails.

is this to say that if one unhooks the battery cables before charging the battery, that the computer is going to assume that the battery is still dead -- without checking to see if it has any juice?
