So I was getting a check charging system error. So I changed the alternator and then I tried to jump my expedition. I got it running and was revving it up. Then I disconnected the jumper cables and put the expedition into reverse and it just shutoff, completely. I tried to start it, when I turn the key to on nothing comes on. I am at a loss. I cleaned the terminal and cables.

 

Bad battery perhaps?

 

I got a new battery just last year. I charged the battery over night and still nothing.

 

Do you have any power at all, like headlights, etc.?

 

No power at all

 

Have the battery tested. New doesn't mean it's still good, especially if you had problems with the charging system. Since it's only a year old It's probably under warranty.
