BINGO! if I have time this is on my list of things to do. Actually taking the day off to do some work at the fire hall in preparation for the chicken BBQ that we are having on Saturday. The guy that has been doing some of the last minute running around for supplies is out west on vacation for the next 3 months so I need to take care of those items.
George, we had a little construction project yesterday at the fire hall. First picture was taken at 8:30 in the morning and the second one was taken at 5:30 last night.
Palmyra boys don't mess around. No slackers in that group.
The guy wearing the white shirt is a member of the department and he was being the project supervisor. We actually put the project out to bid and a local lumber yard came in with the low bid. The contractor that did the work is Mennonite so I think that will answer your question to the work ethic. BTW, that is a 24'x32' building, 10' side walls. Front overhead is 10'x8' and the side one is 8'x8'. There is a 8'x24' lean-to on the back side. They are going to install the overheads today and then the concrete work will be done sometime over the summer once the ground settles.
It was put up for storage purposes. We had a 8'x10' shed that this is replacing to house some of our equipment for the BBQ's, along with old tables and chairs, rarely used equipment, blah, blah, blah.......
