Oxidized black with nasty whiper arm

looks like a 04 mirror

Finish with Mothers back to black, whip on whip off

Hello FTE Friends I thought I would share, stopped by Orileys today pick up some stuff to help the Oxidation on the exterior trim , I decided to go a little further and do the whiper arms ,door handles ,rubber seals , anything Black even the plastic on the Bumpers, my late built 04 looks like a 2014 ( kinda) the next few posts will be before and after pics.

I've always used this stuff to revive black trim:

Howes Lubricator

Lasts quite a while, does not attract dust and smells like cinnamon!

I've had a stash for years, using it mostly for black trim it lasts forever.

Otherwise I think O'Reilys and Advance Vato have it.

I use just plain oil or 2 cycle oil for plastic trim quite often.

Looks like great results! Next, you could repaint you door moldings. I just repainted mine with color-matched paint from automotive touch-up and I am extremely impressed to say the least.

Scott are you talking everything that is black becomes chrome?! Where is that damn barf smiley when I need him.... <yuk>

You'd need to move further south for that look to work, and I'm talkin' a LOT further south, as in a different language territory if you catch my drift (picture the laughing smiley here).

And NO Sean I do not know how to code the smileys myself! dangit!

So the plastic that protects from doors/shopping carts that is starting to yellow on yours? NO! (my opinion)

Go buy some Krylon plastic paint in white, or some of the color match stuff. I think they look better when not seen....
