1995 California 5.8 PCM DPFE

Getting ready to start my MAF conversion and I'm coming up empty on one thing. My PCM came from a 1995 California Bronco 5.8. I don't have the harness from the truck, nor am I going to get a tuner right off the bat. I'm gonna change the truck over to a DPFE set-up for a while and see how it runs. I have the EGR, EGR tube for DPFE, silicon hoses, and a new DPFE with pigtail. What I don't have is a wiring diagram in either my 94, or 95 factory manuals that shows the DPFE on it. My 95 manual shows DPFE on pin 27 of the PCM, but when I go to the engine controls schematic, the wires are correct, but its labeled as EVP. Wiring "LOOKS" right and traces through to the correct pins (25-9 and 25-10) in the 1995 Bronco Wiring and Vacuum manual. Just trying to make sure before frying a new sensor. Thanks Guys.

DPFE is an OBD2 thing and a '95 would have been OBD1 so you can't get there from here meaning you can't use DPFE components with this PCM.

Paul, thanks for the reply, but......... It is a DPFE set-up. Its the "California Unicorn". I lucked this PCM at Pick n Pull a few months back. Someone had already gutted the rest of the truck, but left the PCM. Come to find out, Its fairly sought after.

According to my Ford manual Pin 27 is still the signal input from the DPFE sensor, same as the earlier EVP feedback EGR system.

Yea, I was just hoping to find a diagram versus assuming they used the same wires, ya know. Helps get that warm and fuzzy feeling. LOL I know color codes and such are the same, so assuming isn't that far of a stretch.

It does. It shows even that series of truck uses the same coded wires as the EVP. Much appreciated.

So did everything work out with your dpfe to the obd1 ecm. I'm looking at doing the same thing. How did / does the truck run?
