ABS and gas gauge

Main thing, my gas gauge doesn't work and the guy I bought it from thinks it might be the fuel sending unit, or whatever part tells the gas gauge how much gas is in the tank. But I also heard that there was a problem with the gas gauges in the '92-'96 broncos. Which would make more sense to replace to see if it solves the problem?

Also, my ABS light came on and being that the truck is OBD1, nobody can read the code. Any ideas? I'm clueless.

Gas gauge problem is likely the sending unit.

Under the hood, there is a diagnostic connector for the ABS system. It's right next to the diagnostic connector for the engine. It's near the firewall on the driver's side. You can get ABS codes by taking a paper clip and sticking it in two of the holes in the connector. You turn the ignition on and the ABS light on the dash will start to flash. You get the code by counting the flashes. I've never done it on my Bronco, but I have done it on my 94 Explorer. I assume it's the same process. Here is a link on how to get ABS codes (for Explorers): How to: Pull trouble codes on 4WABS, very simple - Ford Explorer and Ranger Forums "Serious Explorations"®

There is a guy on here that mostly posts in the truck forums 73-79 I believe. His screen name is FMC 400. He is an electrical guru. I suggest you p.m. him. I am sure he can help you. You should give him as much info as you can.
