I may change after the truck is scaled.
What shock ratings are typically used? 5/5, 4/4?

Not sure on a stock truck. With the heavier engine and tranny I went with 500# in the front. I decided to go with 250# in back because I will not be hauling much.

Test fit the grill and park lights I bought at the Ford Nationals tonight. I'll send them to paint next week.

Finally received my front caliper brackets from Wildwood . Not to difficult to install the calipers, just follow the directions. Fit really well.

What size rim will those rotors allow?

After measuring it looks like at least an 17" rim. A 16" may work depending on the inner rim design.. Since my wheels will not be here until some time towards the end of July I am heading to the junk yard today to look at some Crown Vic wheels.

I measured 7.5" from the center of hub to the outside of the caliper. Most OEM wheels have several different diameter sizes on the inner rim due to construction techniques.

54 days to go. Sat down last night and put my last parts list together. I'll start ordering things next week. It is going to be really close but as long as everything arrives I think I can make it.

Today I plan to finish fabricating new fuel cell mounts and welding them in. If I get to it I'll try to paint the rear so it will be ready to reinstall. I plan on working on the rear part of the frame next week and repainting it.

I picked up some 17" steel rims off of a late model Explorer yesterday and had some junk tires installed on them. They are big enough to fit over the front brakes. Once I reinstall the rear I hope to get it on all fours again.

I have not posted lately because all I have been doing is painting . I made new fuel tank mounts, repainted the rear axle and four link bars. I also sanded the rear half of the frame. I'll be painting the frame this weekend.

I have to do a little finish welding and get some fresh paint on the frame.

48 days to go and a ton to do.

I finally got the rear of the frame painted. Tomorrow I will get the rear back under it and the gas tank remounted. I want to hear it run again !

I can't wait to see this baby finished up. Very nice work. A lot of work, but I bet you are having a blast doing it, even though now with a deadline it probably isn't feeling much like it.

I am in awe right now!

My goal this weekend was to paint the frame and get the rear end in and brakes installed. Mission accomplished.
