question about aftermarket intake

I know most of you guys say dont go with an afternarket intake. Well against your advice I decided to install one anyways. After installing I noticed the coolant jug is not sitting level. Anyone know why? Edit: I wouldd post a pic but I dont know how to from my phone.

Degas bottle has nothing to do in regards to attachment with the old intake or air filter...

You may not have the bracket under the degas in correctly. Need to unbolt and reset the tank.

Did you notice any difference? It's your money, so you can do with it as you wish. I just don't see it making any difference...let me know I'm really curious.

You probably didnt get the molded in hanger on the back slid in the bracket properly.
Sorry to hear you wasted your money though. As badly as I want it be true my truck would benefit Im not going to pull the trigger on it.

Going against the better judgement usually isn't a good route. Your aftermarket cold air intake isn't going to be feeding any colder air in than your stock filter any ways, maybe ever warmer considering stock has a snout on it leading to the grill. There's a reason why they're half the price of OEM.

For your degas bottle either it's mounted crooked or worst case swollen with fuel but i doubt that

Yeah it was the tab under it. Thanks guys. And no. Didnt notice any difference. Turbo is much louder but that is about it. I bought it in a package deal from innovative diesel. With the intake and exhaust the truck sounds amazing. But not any difference that I can tell as far as performance.

Im stubborn. I have the stock intake incase I decide to go back though.

Yepper you can put it back in with the new turbo after the original one suffers a slow death from improper filtration
