Are NAPA steering boxes any good?

There's a bunch of slop in the steering box. I tried to give adjustment a go despite warnings not to. I couldn't get the set screw to budge after loosening the nut. Sooo... are NAPA brand remanufactured boxes any good? Is ATSCO brand better for the same price?

I had the original box blow the lower seal on my '03 E250 last September, it was fairly tight as far as that goes. Talking with NAPA it seems their house brand is A1 Cardone which tends to be on the lower end of quality in the reman industry. Price was right at $160..........

Instead I went with a Ford OEM reman'd box @ $258 plus $225 core. Ford & Motor Craft now have a two year warranty on DIY parts which makes that purchase almost a no brainer---for me anyway. $100 ain't squat if the part doesn't hold up at least forever. (BTW needless to say that core was returned ASAP!)
