Parts For My Bed Cover

When I bought my 2009 F-150, I had them put a canvas cover (the one that seals with a white strip that folds in; not buttons) on the Bed of the truck.

This Spring, the wife had me moving stuff, and so the Cover had to come off.

After the moving of the "stuff," I hadn't put the Cover back on fully, (my "bad"). I had it's ribs in place and the cover was hanging loose from the front frame bar, in the bed.

I got on the highway to go home for lunch one day, and the wind and vibration somehow dislodged one of the crossbars (ribs) and it came flying off (apparently) on the highway.

Got home and found that I had a missing rib.

Now I'm trying to contact the supplier (phone number on the tag of the cover) to get another rib (and some more of those rubber end tabs that help hold the cross ribs in place.

The other cross ribs have a number on them, and so I'm going to call the number and see if they recognize the number on the ribs and can get me a rib and those rubber things.

We have a trip coming up, to Ohio in a couple of weeks, and I'll need that cover in place.

Woke up at 1 AM last night and couldn't sleep. I was worried about coming up with another rib, and the rubber things. Do YOU think I could find the parts online? Nope!! Every website wants to talk about the Covers, but not the parts!!

Hope I don't have to buy another complete Cover, to get the bed covered again. Think my local Parts Store would have these items? I sorta doubt it.............

P.S.: By the way..............don't it make you feel good when you hear about all the GM recalls (including Chevy Trucks) ........that you own a FORD?!

Look at the manufacturer's website and find local dealers. Then contact those dealers with questions about obtaining just the support rib for your cover.

Another option may be to scan the local classifieds (online or otherwise) and find a used one to scavenge for parts.

Search the interweb with (say) Google. While it may be (?) new to you it's been around a LONG time and has proven itself to be VERY helpful.

Seems to me you've got enough search criteria ...
Code:
 mfg part# part-desc
Go ahead. Bluff me. Try it.
