6.0 PSD vacuum pump replacement?
Hi, new member here on FTE...been lurking for a few months. Nice site.
I have a 2008 E350 with the 6.0 PSD that I bought about 1.5 years ago. It has a Quigley 4WD system installed, too.
On my last little trip, the brake pedal would get really hard and the van was scary to stop. I have ruled out vacuum leaks, and believe the problem is that the belt-driven vacuum pump is going out on me.
I would like to replace it, but since the space under the hood is so tight, I was looking for tips on how to best go about doing it.
I took the air filter cover off, and spotted the vacuum pump. Looks like I have to remove the turbo-to-intercooler pipe, loosen the PS reservoir, and loosen the serpentine belt.
Is it easier to do the pump replacement from the top or the bottom? Any tips, pictures, or advice is much appreciated!

I know you---from SMB---welcome to FTE too---great site, plenty of helpful cats and kittens here!
You can also post this same question in the 6.0 forum. Most there have the F-Series but more than a few might also have experience working on that engine in an E-Series. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum107/
Good luck with that project---doesn't sound too easy to complete.
