I am looking at a truck that is supposed to be at a dealer in Boise, Idaho. I'm a bit suspicious and would like to have someone in the area do a drive by to see if the dealer actually exists. I'm not going to post their location in case they are legit. I don't want to drag them through the mud unless they turn out to be scammers, then all info will be posted. So if you are in Boise or nearby and want to help me out, PM me and I will send you the name and address of the dealer.

Call the towns Circuit Court Clerk's Office and ask if the place has a business license?

Pretty much a basic Google/internet search will get you the answers these days.

 

google maps, street view if you are looking for proof of a storefront...

 

I did look on GoogleEarth and there is what looks like a small used car lot. But it doesn't show a business name. I might try calling the about the business license. That's a good idea.

 

I'm in the Boise area. What dealership are you looking for?

 

I,m in the Boise area too , close to where "notchback " is . What is the name of they are operating under. It is about a forty mile trip to look at it from here , but somebody closer may check it out for you. JIM ___

Since I'm almost positive it is a scam, I will go ahead and list the name here. The dealer is Boise Motor Cars, LLC and their address is 8590 W. Fairview Ave., Boise, ID 83704. I'll just have to apologize if it turns out to be legit

 

Doing o.k. redwood , just been kinda busy . I retired about 10 years ago but my youngest brother thought i was sitting around to much and talked me in to building a house for him. Last one though , it hurts to much lifting those walls. Time to work on my truck now I hope. How have you been doing ? I still check in but don't catch all that's been going on .JIM___

What vehicle are you looking at, they do not have a old Ford on their online inventory??

 

I don't know about "Boise Motor Cars, LLC". I just did a business entity search on the Secretary of State web site and found no listing for Boise Motor Cars. I've never seen the types of cars listed on their web site at that location. I just drove by it yesterday and would have noticed.

Thanks for all the help guys. I am now about 99.9% sure it is a scam and this place does not exist. I answered an ad from another website and the reply was from a guy with this company. Said they paid an advertising company to list their vehicles around the country. Did a little more research and their domain is registered to someone in Queensland Australia. That right there told me pretty much all I needed to know.
