When i first got my 94 f150 about a year ago, it wouldnt always start or run on the front tank. I would have to start it on the rear and flip between front and rear tanks rapidly for about 10 seconds and then it would run fine. Then after a while it would start right up on the front tank no problem. I drove it like this for a year and the pump never gave up. Then the other day it wouldnt start on the front tank so i flipped the switch a few times and it ran fine again. Today i went to get gas and i started my truck again and i had to flip the switch flor at least 10 minutes for it to run on the front tank or else it would just stall. Once i got it running on the front tank i drove it all through town and it ran fine. Shut it off at walmart, went to turn it back on, no go. No matter how many times i flipped the switch, ot would keep stalling on the front tank. I dont believe its a fuel pump issue because it runs fine when its on the front tank, never cuts off when driving or anything. Any help is greatly appreciated.

 

You may have a bad fuel selector switch.

 

Is the switch the peice that i switch to front and rear tank on or is it located somewhere else?

 

The selector switch is located on/in the dash inside the cab of the truck near the headlight switch.

 

So in other words yes it is the switch that i have been using to switch between front and rear tank. Thanks!
