OEM style, full size, one-piece, vinyl floor mat

I've looked everywhere I can stand to look, but have had no luck yet. Does anybody know where I can get a full size, one piece, preformed mat for the floor of my standard cab F-350? The truck currently has the original, black vinyl mat, and that is what I would prefer to stay with. However, I'll certainly consider a carpet mat if it will fit the truck properly.

If it makes any difference, I have the manual transmission and xfer case shift levers to accommodate.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Are you asking for the original floor mat that came with the truck from the factory, or the accessory one piece floor mat that was placed over the factory mat and available at the parts counter?

If the original mat (Super Cab different than Regular Cab, 4WD different than 2WD, gas different than diesel) be careful if you locate a new mat, because by now, it could be cracked or worse.

These came rolled up in a box, changes in climate could cause them to harden up and crack.

When removed from the box and unrolled, could be cracked or be composed of hard as a rock cracked all the hell pieces!

I have heard of people who have found either a newer same model [like-equipped] truck or one with less wear and tear, at the junk yard, and have been pleased with replacing their badly worn mat with the used one.

Clarification. . .

OEM = Original Equipment from Manufacturer
Standard = NOT extended cab & NOT crew cab
xfer case = 4WD

I didn't think those terms were ambiguous. "New" might be somewhat ambiguous. I am looking for a NEW new mat, not an OLD new mat (NOS).

I don't expect to find a NEW new, actual OEM mat but would be quite content with NEW, OEM style mat if it is a decent reproduction, and I'm not looking for a mat that goes over the mat but, rather, the mat the truck had when it left the manufacturing (OEM) plant.

Where rubber parts are concerned, there generally is little point in looking for good used items around here (Colorado). We have the reverse problem of folks back East. There vehicles get rusty but the rubber lasts a very long time. Out West here, rust is much less of a problem, but the Sun and low humidity beat the heck out of rubber parts.

Perfect!

Thanks for that link!

The molded MPV mat looks really good. After looking at it in the catalog, I did several google searches and found many references to it, and it seems most people are very pleased with it.

I've placed an order for it, and it will be here next Wednesday.

I put an original style black mat in my '81 that I bought from LMC and it looks great! Don't forget the sound deadener too.

The "quiet mat" is on the way too, as is a POR-15 starter kit to deal with the rust in the gutter on each side of the floor. My $65 late style bucket(s) front seat is now at about $600!

Also, don't forget. What is great to someone is garbage to others. I have yet to get anything from LMC I am pleased with.

I would contact Auto Custom Carpets. they offer a Vinyl floor in place of carpet. Their Carpet is REALLY good stuff(the best I have seen other than factory). So I would say they vinyl food should be just as good

Yes, I'm going with carpet from ACC. They are a supplier to many that re-market the stuff.

Man, I hate to hear that. I have spent a small fortune with them over two or three years and I have never had an issue. They even took back the wrong rear bumper I ordered six months after the fact along with some misc. stuff that I decided I wasn't going to use.

The only thing I have ever gotten from them that was of any quality was the ford oval for my tailgate. It was actually a FORD OEM piece. The problem is, they tried to pawn off on me the WRONG emblem. It was too small for the application, but they swear it was the right part

Where is LMC buying their mats/carpets from? Possibly from here: Chester & Herod, located in Escondido CA

Originally located in Hollywood, this company has been in business since Truman was prez, supplying new/used car dealers with mats/carpets.

The thing is: LMC is a middle-man operation, uses the J. Paul Getty method of making money. Despite all the parts shown in their catalogs, they have very little of it in stock.

When you send in your order, they use your money to buy the parts elsewhere, from other repro parts sellers, auto parts stores and in some cases FoMoCo dealers.

Who pays the additional shipping charges they incur when buying the parts elsewhere? Guess!

I've tried giving LMC a shot with my parts orders, but always seem to find the same item cheaper elsewhere. This would explain it ~Bill

Look into the mats from Jeffs Bronco Graveyard. I bought one for my old 78 and found the thickness to be roughly the same as any OEM mat I've encountered, plus they have various colors to better match your interior. You will have to trim off the excess and cut holes for all your shifter, bolts and the like.
