I have a recently 1956 F250 that has a 5 lug front axle and 8 lug rear end. I am assuming someone put a 1 tone rear end in but I had someone tell me it should have an 8 lug front axle too for a 3/4 ton. Could someone clear this up?
Thanks.
Welcome to the forum. AFAIK, all F250s had the eight lug hubs and wheels front and rear.
Disclaimer: I don't consider myself an expert on the subject. Someone could prove me wrong.
8 lug front as well as rear would be correct for an F-250. Hubs will interchange on the spindles for F-100 and F-250. Did someone add a 5 lug disc brake kit to the front, perhaps? Do you want 5 lugs or 8? Does it matter?

After checking it does have discs in the front so I guess it was swapped. I read somewhere that only the 1 tons had 8 lug but I'm finding out that is wrong.
I'm selling the truck so I won't be changing anything, I'll let the next owner decide.
