Tire size help????

i dont understand tire size's anymore. about what diameter and width is this tire? 265/75/16 I know the 16 is the wheel size and thats it.THANKS

Here is a handy converter

So 265/75/16 is 31.6" tall/10.43" wide/and the wheel diameter is 16"

The first number is the distance from bead to bead. The second number is the percentage of the first number that is sidewall. The last number is the rim size in inches. I believe this is how it works.

265/75/16 is a 31.6x10.43x16 according to the tire converter supplied above.

265 is the tire width, in millimeters, 75= 's Aspect ratio (ratio of section height to section width)

thanks for helping an old man out guy's,lol. So if i did it right these are ok on a 10in wide wheel,yes?

I use the 2" narrower rule of thumb, a 10" wide rim can hold up to a 12.50 wide tire.

So yes that 10.50 wide tire and a 10" wide rim should be ok. But you will barely have any side wall curve at all. It would mount up better on a 8.5 or 9.5 rim I believe.

Thanks buddy, i have brand new wheels already and with unexpected cost of other things im looking for used tires. I hate buying used tires.

I had a set of mud tires once that were so worn, bologna had more tread on it compared to them. LOL x2
