93 E150 4.9 oil leaks

I have a 93 econoline with a efi 4.9 6 cylinder. With a E4OD transmission. After several cans of walmart engine degreaser. I have pin pointed the source of my oil dripping on mine and everybody else's driveway. The oil pan gasket is no surprise as it is partly split and squished out on the drivers side. But the real problem, I discovered after about ten minutes of idling. Is the rear oil seal is adding to the mess. After some googling about the pan gasket. I learned about the necessity of jacking up the engine to get the clearance needed. My question is, since I have to drop the tranny to get to the rear seal. ( I have access to a transmission jack). Can the oil pan then be moved rearward enough to get the angle that would be needed to clear the oil pump pick-up tube and screen. What do you guys think? Anyone ever tackled the pan gasket this way? I hate just unbolting things without a plan.

Not sure about the Oil pan angle, but with the Gasket split and squishing out the side sounds like the oil returns in the Head might be plugged up, and I'd go for a new front seal in the Trans while it's out......

I afraid I am to blame for the gasket splitting. I tried to tighten it to stop the leak. I should have known better. After all it is 20 some years old. I sure like the idea of a new front transmission seal. Couldn't be but a couple of bucks. Might save me doing this again. Thanks!
