Mass air conv vs. aftermarket efi
Let Me start by saying Hello, Ive been a member for awhile, while Ive learned a lot reading I know I don't post much, Sort of a watch and listen kind of guy. Second I'm not 100% certain I'm posting this in the correct category, If not I'm apologize in advance. I'm getting ready to build another engine for one of My trucks, But this one I want to get a little further out there. And I want a engine management system that can handle the changes I have planned and the ones in the future I'm sure I will come up with. I know for along time mass swap with tuning or the tweecer and baumanator were about it, but with a lot of companies manufacturing aftermarket efi, it seems there's a lot more options on the shelf. Even with the e4od. For the Money, and performance how would everybody go?
The truck is a 1993 f-350 351w e4od 4x4.
Just kinda weighing it all and would like some others opinions, thanks, Vince

I've used SCT with my mass air setup for years and it worked well; great tuning options to use with the engine and transmission. However, it doesn't allow you to watch live data and make tuning changes on the fly, through the software.
I now run FAST XFI and use my factory ECU to run the trans, and so far it has worked very well; I can make on-the-fly tuning changes while the engine is running and so immediate results through the FAST software.

I like fast equipment. seemed user friendly when compared to aem or a few others. Unfortunately Ive never used one on a ford truck. the msd atomic has a module to control the trans, for extra money of course. when using aftermarket efi with oem trans control, the sct allows you to tune the trans? shift points and so forth? curious about possibly doing something similar. just need throttle position sensor for the oem computer? And tie it into the fast harness?
