Streamline the guide bosses, bowl blend.
On the exhaust side you will want to remove the thermactor bumps and work the short side radius.
Ford exhaust ports are notorious.

If you intend to try this yourself I'd suggest going to the Rein"car"nation High Performance website and signing up for the porting instructions and templates.
Rein"Car"nation High Performance / index 2

I am not trying to shill Scott's business, just trying to keep you from finding water and owning a doorstop with many hours invested in it.

At least they belong together!

'77 block is internal balance.
Just be aware if you think to swap flywheels or balancer spacers.

$200 a head?
Wow, I wouldn't do those heads for that price... per cylinder.

Did I mention how much I hate iron dust and numb hands???

I forget what the chamber size is on the early fuelie heads.
The f3's flow better than carb heads.
small intake E7's, not so much.
Watch the valve reliefs in whatever pistons you buy.

Yes, you can use that adapter on a 1988 lower intake.
You need the intake as well as the heads.

They've got those three plates.
I have never used them, so can't say how they work to transition round intake to rectangular port EFI heads.

The CS-460 was only suggested as a simple way of putting a carb on an otherwise complete EFI engine.

The idea of $300, plus sealing the valley block-off plate, aligning four intake gaskets, having to buy a taller distributor and $700 set of headers seems like an awful LONG way to get around just doing the right work to the D3 heads.

IMPO you are completely wasting your time with stock pistons 65 thou in the hole, but I wish you the best sorting this out.

looks like ill pull the busted 77 merc motor, steal those heads for my motor, rework them and then add the 69/70 heads to the 77 for our ranger 1/4 mile race truck..that seems the best route for what i have unless i can find some cheap aluminums...
