Dorman Valve cover gasket question

Dorman Valve cover gasket question
Instead of a positive lock for the injector connector, the Dorman has a wire clamp that doesn't even snap on. When you close it, it just sort of lays there. I wondered if I'd installed something incorrectly but don't see any other way to do it. It could be that the valve cover is a close enough fit that it'd keep the wire doohickey from coming adrift but I'm not real comfortable with it. Can anyone shed some light?

None of mine would snap/lock. Called Dorman and they said there should be a positive lock and I may need to do some bending to get that to happen. I wondered out loud why no instructions to that effect.... Anyhow, I took everything off again and customized the wire holders. To anyone running into the same problem, you can get a decent lock by removing the wire from the connector and bending each arm back towards the main body of wire.....a lot! I hand-held it and bent each end back with a pair of pliers. I was afraid of breakage but nothing broke.
Thanks, fellas, for responding.
