Bed Strips - different punched holes pattern for different years?

Hi guys. I just bought some new bed strips since I'm redoing my bed on my '65 F100 short bed - flareside. The punched square holes do not line up with my original bed strips, so I'm trying to figure out if they gave me strips from the wrong year...or if they are just not punched correctly.

at least if they are for different years, they might fit my '56...but I can't check right now because it's at my dad's house.

I have been looking at different sites to compare, and some give year ranges and some say 53-72...so I was wondering if anybody knew for certain.

Thanks!

I bought my strips from Bed Wood and Parts. They require you to fill out a drawing that you print from their website that shows the strip and holes. YOU tell them where you want the holes and how many. I had to measure my chassis/braces when I got the old stuff out to make sure. Or if nothing is changing you at least have to measure the old strips. Either way you provide them dimensions on your order form.

That's interesting, I wonder if other vendors do that? I haven't ever bought them before. I bought these at the F100 Supernats on Friday. I just said "for a '65 F100" and was given these...

Worst case scenario, they don't get bolted to one of the center crossmembers.

Thanks for the reply!
