coming to Baltimore
I (with my wife)will be in Baltimore next month, will be there during our anniversary and would like to treat my wife and another couple we will be with who's anniversary is 2 days before mine.
I had found a restaurant a few months back and can't find it now!
so where is the best not factoring in price, I am figuring $150 plus per person.
also any local fare we should try, I love food and love trying new or different things.
Thanks
bart

What part of Baltimore would help out. I am from the Anne Arundel County side, and can hook you up over there rather well. That area would be where you flew in, at or near BWI airport.
If you want East Baltimore, you would talk to Shawn, Fire240, he's from Dundalk, and works in East Baltimore. Bud, BPofMD has been around the longest, he probably has some favorites. Most of the other Baltimore Guys have dissapeared, but check in from time to time.
PM Jr jr32560 the chapterleader, and set a timeframe, maybe we all can set a time, and do a state GTG while your in town! It would be great to put a face to a name. I can run up from NC in 6 hrs, so it's no problem for me to show up.

Oh, and BTW, Crabcakes are a must while in Md. I will probably direct you that way for your dinner, lol
Steamed crabs should just be in season then, as should be our white corn on the cob. We also have the best local cantalope in the world! Strawberry season should be in it's peak by then, you can go to a local pick and pull, and fill your belly ( and a container) full of the best strawberrys!!! Steamed shrimp are a must as are any type of oysters.
You won't go away hungry in Md, that's for sure!

I agree with Charlie about everything he said..... add this to that..... if you like Italian, look here: Sabatino’s
Here's a great seafood (and everything else place): * The Rusty Scupper *
If you have a specialty place you wish to go to, ask. We'll find you one.
Crab Cakes? Try here: Home | Olive Grove Homepage : Charlie LOVES this place - I agree.
What part of town are you staying? OOPS! OK - great location, you can get anywhere from there easily.

Your going to be downtown... I suggest going right up the street like Bud said to the inner harbor.
Rusty Skupper is on the right behind the Science center, right on the water. I have eaten there many times, and I can tell you the food is good, Service is great!
You can go up the street at Greene street to lexingtn Market for a sampling of food from all over
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...66917471,d.cWc Cool place, but not a sit down, and eat, more of a open air market
A run straight up Pratt street from where your Hotel is, you can go to the new Phillips Seafood restraunt
http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j...66917471,d.cWc
Crab Cakes aren't as good as the grove, but the food is sooooo good, you will stuuf to an uncomfortable state, and wish for more room
I'll think of some more that you can just jump on the bus and get to, no need to rent a car downtown, they have that covered!

Another thought, but way too far to walk, even tho only blocks, go up Pratt St to eastern ave, and hang a right, that will drop you right into little italy!!! There is a Restraunt in every building, all fancy, and all good food!, I used to hate coming down through there in the dump truck around dinner time, the smell was just to die for!!!

Do you remember anything about it? what they served? Area? There are a lot of high end places in Balto, Now whether or not the food matches the price, that's a different story!
