Haven't been driving it much lately. We'll fire it up and take it around the block every few weeks but it hasn't seen the road for a few months.

Ours is just so big and powerful we don't need it for anything other than towing and hauling.

Running around town we use the ranger, and now that I have my truck that takes away from the SD even more.

when i started driving i had a 78 gmc Jimmy that my dad had bought a while back and it got a bout 6-8 mpg and about 2-4 in 4x4 (was always stuck in low could never bump it to high) then i moved to a 351w which was better but only just and my diesel is the most efficient thing i've had yet

a get togeather wouldn't be a bad idea at all and could spark some interest in this area if we all weren't so far apart

Yea I'm making a 72 mile commute every Tuesday and Thursday for school. 36 miles each way. Not too bad, I just hop the interstate the whole way. I just started working again so now that a little money is coming in I can keep fixing the truck.

That's a distance. . I only have to go mile or two to the campus even work is only like 10 miles away but my truck doesn't warm up by then and the mileage just tanks..but then again I don't have this truck for gas mileage. . Found some more raycor to put in the fuel and its made a huge difference as usual haven't gotten around to new injectors yet and that raycor is what's holding them togeather

I'm trying to improve my MPG. I'm averaging 12. It needs better rear end gears, I'm gonna put 4.11s in it as soon as I can.

3.25 right now. But with overdrive and 31s it's just too darn high. Engine rpm falls down and power goes away. Throttle is required to maintain highway speed. It won't cruise.

still here just been busy fixing my new motor to go into my 88 F150.

Gas mileage what is that? LOL My 94 Explorer 4x4 4.0L is only getting like 16MPG city and highway mix.
I am hoping the 90 F150 4x4 that we just got gets better fuel mileage then my 88 F150 4x4 does once I get an exhaust system on it since their is holes everywhere in the exhaust. (90 has a E4OD and 3.55s with 235 75 R15s till I get 31 10.5 R15s where as my 88 has a C6 3.55s and 31 10.5 R15s both are 302s and limited slip.)

Ah that makes sense
I'm getting 12-15 outta my 97 7.3 but that's on raycor additive it'll drop to 10 if I don't use it..time for new injectors I think. 500+k is the limit on those I imagine

We did injectors on our 99 7.3 and went from 14mpg to a best of 23. But now it is averaging around 18. Not bad for a CCLB 4x4 on 37s.
