Rubbing/Grinding noise when turning

My dually has started to make a rubbing or grinding noise just about every time I make a turn, left or right. Any ideas on what this could be, truck has 8500 miles on it.

Thanks

Which model year truck do you have, SD Dually? Have you brought this by your dealership so they can inspect?

I suspect hubs or brakes. Best to take it in since it is new and has warranty.

My SD makes a scratching sound when I turn, but it's coming from behind my steering wheel.

ditto on the if on warranty take it in suggestion.

but if you want guesses....my guess if you have a 4X4 is the auto lock/unlock hubs are not working and the front hubs are staying in lock position.

Not sure exactly where its coming from, under the truck somewhere it seems like, with a load or trailer on it its seems to do it worse.
It will do it regardless whether I'm applying the brakes or not.

The sound is just like a tire rubbing the fender well, but that's not it because the tires don't even get close the the fender wells,

I did a search about this and seems like it could be the limited slip clutches grabbing, my truck does have the limited slip rear end.
The limited slip clutches grabbing was on the F-150 forum though and nothing on the Super Dutys.

Also I have the manual lock-in lock-out 4x4 hubs and they are both in the (free) position.

Taking it to the dealer tomorrow.

Ok, took the truck to the dealer, the drivetrain tech took the truck for a drive, I rode with him. For some foolish reason couldn't get the truck to make the noise very much, we barely heard it a time or two. I mentioned to him about wondering if it could be the limited slip clutches grabbing and he said it very well could be, he has had a few Super Duties come in with that problem.
He recommended I do some figure 8 turns in a parking lot somewhere cutting the wheels as far as they will go, this will force the clutches to open up and allow some fluid to get in between them, if the problem still persists I can get a small bottle of friction modifier to pour into the rear end.
Last resort would be to remove some shimming from the clutches to open them up a bit, but in return the limited slip won't work very well or at its best.

Past day or so it seems to have eased up and I'm not hearing it anymore, so maybe the figure 8 turns helped.

I will continue to monitor.

Crystal, thanks.
