New guy.. 6.0 Harley with a couple questions.... not broke down either!

Hey fella's...

Bought a Harley version 2004 Super cab F-350 with the 6.0. Surfing around and saw this place... looks nice and looks like lots of you like to help with answers, makes for a great forum!

My uncle was the service manager for Ford, was picky when shopping for a truck with his advise, here's what I got.

Bought last year, 98,000 and has the following done;
Elite H11 studs and gaskets
8 new ford injectors
new oil cooler
Airdog II fuel pump
MBRP 4" turbo back, straight pipe
AFE cold air
EGR delete
SCT TSX with street tune loaded.

What tranny stuff if any is recommended? I'm about to change the filters and 8 quarts of fluid.

The Blue spring may be already done but not positive. I've got a Scan Gauge II sitting at Advanced Auto waiting me to pick it up tomorrow morning and install so I can watch fuel pressure. It may be overkill due to the Airdog fuel pump?

Besides the EOT, ECT, and Fuel pressure, is there something that I should be watching on the scan Gauge pretty often?

Tunes from Matt at GearHead? I've been running the street tune and only got beat once by a Porsche. I think the engine is good, tranny is pretty strong and thinking I need better tunes for power and gas mileage... what do you say?

Is there anything I'm missing that needs to get done?

Thanks in advance!
Randy

You need a mechanical gauge to watch fuel pressure. The sg won't see it because there is not a sensor for fuel pressure just icp. Personally I would switch to cat ec1 coolant and make sure to run oem filters with oem caps. Not the tall aftermarket caps.
Also make sure to for ford sp fluid in the trans. Lv is compatible too I believe.

I agree. Fuel pressure, batteries, ficm and alternator along with eot and ect are the most important.

Not sure on the tranny,, I think bulletproof makes a billet torque converter. (Not sure if it was them or not but there is one out there)
The blue spring, or any spring that's Iin there is what regulates your fuel pressure, so I wouldn't think the air dog would raise it if the rest of the fuel system is stock.
I would definitallly get a egt gauge if you've got the truck turned up at all. It can save you from melting your engine down.
As for tunes, I'm not the guy to ask on those. But I do know you can send in your FICM to get it tuned aside from the computer. It changes the way it injects fuel. Never tried personally though
