Im looking for a 6'' suspension lift for my 94 F250 XLT 5.8L 351w. My truck has the pivoting independent suspension in the front with leaf springs and shocks, NOT coils, which ive been told that i need to have a drop bracket for. I wanted to go either with a skyjacker or tuff country kit, i just dont know which kit to get that is made for my front suspension. And i was wondering if im gonna need to buy shocks too. Any help is appreciated and if possible leave me a link to a kit thats made for my truck or a parts # and who its made by ... THANKS !

 

If you want a quality lift then Skyjacker all day. Their lifts are some of the best with pretty damn good components plus good service. Tuff Country is towards the lower end of lifts, and Skyjacker is towards the top. If you can't afford Skyjacker though I'd go Tuff Country. Just my .02. As for shocks, Skyjackers kit come with some decent ones but not the best. I'd go with either Blisteins or if you really got money to blow then Fox.

Here's a link to one of their kits http://skyjacker.com/product.php?ProdID=32437 it's a bit more than others but it doesn't use lift blocks it uses springs all the way around. If it were me I wouldn't personally use lift blocks in the rear but it's your truck just a suggestion.

 

If you're asking if you need longer shocks, you need to sit down and do a LOT more reading IMO. You are just beginning to learn about lifts and there is a lot to know before you pull the trigger. I promise you that unless you spend some serious time researching, you will not be happy with the end result.

 

Listen to this guy, if you don't even know that new shocks are COMPLETELY NECESSARY for a 6" lift then you haven't done near enough research.
