I've spent the last couple day looking around for information on purchasing and installing an AC unit for my 2007 F150 single cab.

We bought the truck for a steal and realize now that one reason it was such a steal is that theres no AC. We bought it in the middle of the winter and getting colder, so it really wasnt on our minds.

I'm finding alot of replacement info but adding it to a tuck that doesnt have it yet has proven much harder to track down.

They shop i take it to wanted to charge me somethign like 3k to put ac in, that sounded far higher than i thought it should be.

Any info would be really helpful on how and where i could get the parts (pref in a bundle) and install them.even if i was able to just find a place to buy everything needed to put it in the shop said the labor wouldnt be much.

 

are you SURE you dont have A/C?????? i am goig to assume you have the XL . i have the f150 XL v6/5spd and it has A/C. howerver if it doesnt, seems kinda odd to me . i have a site that has all the stuff to add it, however not usre if it is against policy to link it here, if it is, you can PM me and i will provide it to you

 

I have double checked with 2 shops and done a self inspection that there is no AC system in the truck. I know what your're saying about being surprised i didnt think that a it was even possible not to have it. I guess thats why i didnt think to look. Ill PM you i would love to look at the links. you have a PM from me now.

 

I don't know the actual price, but I'm sure you are pretty close. There are a lot of parts and Labor involved in that job
