Apologies aren't necessary. This is the first you've heard of it and that's what matters

Just FYI though, this recall started back in '05 and grew to include a ton of Ford vehicles.

I received the notice on my '97 F-150 last week. (I'm the original owner.)

How do I tell if a 2000 6.3 Ex has been "fixed"?

My F-150 is a bench seat drop down console/arm rest. I always keep the coin box in it full even though we have no toll roads or real use for loose change around here. The last time that Ford put a rear end in the truck, I got the truck back with 1 coin left in each slot.

I believe it affected all trucks SUV and vans with cruise control, without the added fused pig tail the vehicle could catch on fire at any time running or not

Well, if it has a 6.3L, you won't need it.

But if it has a 6.8L, then look for this fusible link jumper harness thing...

...attached to the master cylinder rez valve like this...

...and this...

Recall

Ok - Couple questions - A few posts up someone said that Ford Stole their black cps last time they went in - What is a cps? Then the next poster was talking about change in his change tray and needing a quarter or something for the rear end? That threw me off so if anyone can explain.

What is an OASIS report. I have a 2004 EX 6.0 and really want to get on this recall ASAP - Freaks me out as I had an expedition that had a similar issue (2000 model).

So how do we know for sure (other than looking at the pic) and is there a particular TSB or Recall # I can call the dealership with?

Love the forum!

Cam Position Sensor.

Problematic on the 7.3's, but no better version available than the original "black" one that was problematic.

Unfortunately the original "black" ones have been superseded and there's is a recall on them.

It isn't something you have to worry about since you have a 6.0L PSD.

You just misread. Go back and reread and you'll understand. He was saying they stole his change when he took it in for a rear end job.

Ford's Online Automotive Service Information System. OASIS for short.

I don't believe the 6.0 is included in the recall. But I'd confirm with your local dealership.

TSB's have nothing to do with recalls.

Kind people; they didn't want to leave you broke.
